Hi! I’m Josue “Sué” Figueroa (he/him/his)

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan - School of Information (UMSI) Master’s of Information Science program with a focus on User Experience Research (UXR). I am a first-generation American and college graduate from a small railroad town in South Carolina. My passion for understanding people and interest in information led me to pursue my interest in UX with a focus on UXR.

Currently living in Seattle, WA, in my spare time, I consider myself an adventurous person and enjoy traveling to new places, finding places for hikes, and supporting local businesses — especially food. I also enjoy going out for walks, gaming, and listening to music, am an avid sports fan, and am passionate about staying informed on how to show up and advocate for others in a positive way. I am also a full-time dog dad!

Throughout my career in research, I have demonstrated experience with qualitative evaluative and foundational research, but I am always exploring ways to grow and become a more well-rounded researcher. I also have demonstrated experience to present projects and status reports to leadership and upper management teams.
